Picnik is an online software that allows photo editing similar to a traditional photo shop. It is free to use and user friendly, with basic to advanced options. After editing your photos, you can then upload to sites such as Facebook or Twitter.

You also have the ability to edit and fix your photos in one simple click or use advanced controls to fine-tune to the desired effect. This software works on both Mac or Windows computers. The greatest part about Picnik is that it requires no downloading or installing of software.

D5100

- 16.2 Megapixel
- 11 AF points
- ISO 100-6400 range
- HD video 1080p
- 4 fps continuous shooting
- DX CMOS sensor
Straight up.
This camera is meant for someone just getting into photography or for someone who is primarily interested in making movies.
Why I like it?
The sensor and image quality are the same as the D7000.
Articulating 3’’ LCD screen.
ISO 100-6400 and the ISO goes up in thirds (unlike the D3100).
Full 1080p HD video that can shoot up to 30fps.
Has a mic input (unlike the D3100).
Final say.
The D5100 is going to be a great camera for a beginner photographer or as a back up for semi-professional photographers. It packs a lot of punch in a small body and if you’re mostly interested in video it’s the obvious choice. If you know you’re wanting to expand beyond beginner photography go with the D7000. If want to save yourself a couple hundred bucks and keep it basic go with the D3100.
Overall if you go with any one of Nikon’s beginner DSLRs you are going to be happy, it is a great line up.
